Unfailing Grace

"Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table"
Matthew 15:27

man...as i read this today morning it reminded me of God's UNFAILING grace...
we don't even deserve the crumbs...yet He gave us more...
He gave us Jesus Christ, the Bread of Life.

"How sweet the stream of unfailing grace that sanctifies my soul...."
Enfield - Unfailing Grace

If you guys have the chance, listen to this song.
I really love the lyrics.

Heart Motives

Heart motives are, i guess, different personalities that you have? haha i dont know but anyway, i'm going to list the heart motives and the descriptions. please comment on what your heart motives are so we can just become closer as a team i guess. BTW, heart motives are NOT good things. here we go:

1. like me-- a person that has this heart motive is someone who is very submissive to people around them. one who acts like a chameleon around different types of people. basically this person will do anything for others around them to like them.

2. love me--
a person that has this heart motive is someone who loves either their closest friends, only their family or whatnot. they almost serge all of their love and care for one group. basically, this person is one who is very exclusive. if others do wrongs to them, but arent in that one exclusive group they care about, it doesnt matter for them because the people outside the group dont matter as much.

3. respect me-- a person that has this heart motive is someone who is usually unintentionally condescending, and who demands respect 24/7. what they wear, who they talk to, what way they talk to people, how they just overall hold themselves screams for respect. ex. someone hates getting even tapped on the head because its a sign of disrespect.

4. perfect me-- a person that has this heart motive is someone who is nitpicky. someone who needs everything organized every single moment of every single day. someone who wants a "perfection" in their life. if something is not going right at home, with friends, their mentality is... "what did i do wrong?" rather than looking at all aspects of situations. mainly, someone who has "perfect me" thinks that whatever he/she does, it's not good enough.

just think about it, look back on all your situations/senarios and just type 1/2/3/or 4. maybe, im not so sure, we can just help each other out with this kind of stuff you know? that we must have a love that of Christ so we can have compassion for others. that we may see that the only respect and praise in this earth belongs to God. and rather than trying to be perfect in our own accords, we can know that... we already are perfect. because we accepted jesus as our personal savior, his blood has washed us of all of our sins and our inequities and we are perfect in God's sight.

so hope everyone has a great week with campus time, just time of fellowship etc, and i will see all of you guys sooooon! :D miss you guys already!

IN LOVE

Estar here!

Can I tell you that, I am IN LOVE with this team. ALREADY! I know we only know each other with the surface superficial things, (which isn't BAD) and it's inevitable, but I'm truly falling in love with this team, I'm so excited to reallllly get to know you guys! and just become spiritual accountability for one another! Everyone and everything about this team is just SO encouraging. And I am SO FREAKING EXCITED to see what God has planned for us. I don't know if it was just me, but dang, team time last night was awesome! I felt God with us there! It was crazyyyyyyy!!!!

CAN YOU TELL I'M EXCITED?!?!!??! :)

I just wanted to share this excitement with the rest of you!!

truly a blessing!!!

Pastor John couldn't have picked a better theme team verse

Colossians 3:12-14
Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

THIS WEEK'S VERSE!!
James 2:10
For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.

Remember to continue to pray for this team.
I just know that God will do AWESOME things with and through this team!!

HAVE A BLESSED WEEK!!!!!!

Realization

Hi guys,
Reporting from Las Vegas, haha, this is Steve Ahn. Last week, overflowing to this week, I have realized that nothing is according to your plan/will, only God's. Although you may want to plan the rest of your life, you never know if it will happen that way or not. In that sense, I believe that we should not only look to God in times of despair and anxiousness, but we should also look to Him in times of blessing and the good times. These verses helped me out a lot last week with all the things i've been going through so I just wanted to share them with you:

"'For I know the plans I have for you,' says the Lord. 'They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.'" -Jeremiah 29:11

as well as:

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."
-2 Corinthians 12:9

I hope these verses will also help you throughout the week. :D I will see you guys on Saturday for Super Saturday! I can't wait to catch up, see how your weeks have been and just have fellowship in the Lord!!

**Also, it is our very own teammate, Elaine Lee's birthday this Sunday! :D Make sure you wish her a happy birthday!
